Fentanyl High is a documentary for the high school communities of the Bay Area, researched and directed by Kyle Santoro, a Bay Area high school junior committed to telling the truth to his peers and their families about Fentanyl poisoning.
About the Director
KYLE SANTORO
Director of Fentanyl High, Kyle Santoro is a junior at Los Gatos High School. Kyle founded LC2 Productions in 2021, a full-service film production company, providing storyboarding, innovative camera work, editing and post-production sound design.
Meet the Interviewees
KEVIN BUCHANAN
Principal of Los Gatos High School since 2021, Kevin Buchanan is originally from from Cheshire, England, with a 25-year career in education, including 18 years in high school administration.
BRENNAN MULLIN
Brennan Mullin, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Google, is the father of Aidan, who passed away from fentanyl poisoning in November of 2020 at the age of 18.
JAN BLOM
Jan Blom, Head of UX Research at Google, is the father of Linus, who passed away from fentanyl poisoning in July of 2020 at the age of 17.
MARICO SAYOC
Marico Sayoc is the Executive Director of CASSY Bay Area, a nonprofit supporting students' social and emotional wellbeing from the first day of kindergarten until they graduate from high school - to be successful in school and life.
MIRA PARWIZ
Mira Parwiz is the Coalition Lead for the Santa Clara County Opiod Overdose Prevention Project and the Division Director for Medicated Assisted Treatment Services at the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System.
SUPERVISOR JOE SIMITIAN
An attorney, businessman and city planner, Supervisor Joe Simitian serves on the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors for District 5. He is the Chair of the Health and Hospice Committee.
RACHEL SUSSMAN M.D.
A Board Certified Family Physician, Dr. Rachel Sussman is one of the core faculty in the Stanford O'Connor Medicine Residency and with the Stanford Addiction Medicine Fellowship.
JOHN TOSTADO-DELGADO
John Tostada-Delgado is a LEAD Advisory Member and a substance dependency survivor, with lived experience in homelessness who leads many community groups for those in recovery.
TANYA GOEL
Tanya Goel is a Junior at Los Gatos High School. Her interests include singing and coding, and she enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family. She enjoyed being a part of this documentary.
JACK TEMPLE
Jack Temple is a Senior at Los Gatos High School. He loves to play the guitar and sing. He played football during high school and current runs track for the school. He will be attending Indiana University in Fall, where he will study Political Science. He is honored to be a part of this documentary as he feels this is the most pressing issue young people are facing right now.
KAYLEE MARGONE
Kaylee Margone is a Junior at Los Gatos High School. Her interests include hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach and helping others. Kaylee plans to attend Cabrillo College and transfer to CSU Long Beach. She is so honored to be a part of this documentary.
RAHA HAJISEYEDJAVADI
Raha Hajiseyedjavadi is a Junior at Los Gatos High School. Her interests include outdoor activities, hanging out with friends and music. Raha plans to attend a California school and is honored to be a part of this documentary.
LANDON HEARD
Landon Heard is a Senior at Los Gatos High School. He played basketball and football during high school. He will be attending Purdue University. Landon is happy to be a part of this documentary.

A member of the Rotary Club of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos High School Seal of Civic Engagement Committee as well as the Board of KCAT/Los Gatos Public Media, Margaret Smith is a long-time Los Gatos attorney, entrepreneur, owner of Dolmus, former President of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, and former national president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Founder & Executive Director of Song for Charlie, a national nonprofit dedicated to educating young people about fake pills and offering healthier ways for managing stress. Ed is the father of Charlie, who passed away from fentanyl poisoning in May of 2020.
