The Social Hack

Director of Fentanyl High, Kyle Santoro, and LC2 Productions have created a new strategic approach to social change called a SOCIAL HACK that includes the documentary film, an integrated study guide, and the materials for social media PSA campaigns.

Teens and parents are both uncomfortable talking about the dangers of drugs and think it will not be them or someone they love, yet with the stress of this post-COVID era, high school teens are unknowingly turning to counterfeit pills laced with Fentanyl, at parties or at home, to numb themselves from school, peer, or family pressures.

In order to begin nationwide conversations about this epidemic, we are initiating a SOCIAL HACK to combine limbic resonance through art, cognitive understanding through facts of the problem, and tools for communities to create a critical mass of activists spreading awareness and tangible solutions for changing the mindsets of teens and parents at home and educators in the schools.

The SOCIAL HACK design team is a partnership between LC2 Productions, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Santa Clara County Fire Department, Los Gatos Police Department, Santa Clara County Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, County of Santa Clara Behavioral Health Services, and Q Corner LGBTQ+ Information and Support.

Together, we have the potential to educate more teens and their parents about the dangers of fake pills and to spread the word about where to get Narcan in order to mitigate and reduce the potential fentanyl poisoning deaths of teens in every county across the country.
